Will I be able to pause the test?The objective and purpose of 'Crack the PCAT' is to help you simulate the PCAT exam under realistic conditions. In our web-based platform, you can click on the timer at the top right to pause it. On the software platform, we do not provide this capability.
What topics are the writing prompts usually on?Health Issues (issues related to public health, medicine, nutrition, fitness, prevention, treatments, therapies, medications, drugs, attitudes) Science Issues (issues related to research, theories, findings, applications, controversies, education, attitudes) Social, Cultural, or Political Issues (issues related to beliefs, attitudes, behaviors, trends, laws, policies)
If you want to nail the writing section, our Premium Package is the way to go as it provides bonus writing prompts. A rubric will be provided so you can self-grade.
Is my writing section graded?We do not have the means to grade your essay. After you take the writing exam, your response will be recorded. You will then receive a rubric that will show the criteria from score 1 to 6 that the the evaluators use to grade your essay (click on TEXT evaluation at the bottom left when you access your recorded response). Based on this, you can self-critique your essay. It is always best to self-evaluate your essay because it gives you the chance to be honest about your performance and identify what steps you could
have taken to improve. In addition, exposing yourself to these written prompts will make you very comfortable on
test day since it will become routine for you. This automatically gives you an edge over other students who are
not ready or have prepared adequately and sufficiently for this portion of the exam.
What is the correlation of my practice scores vs real test?We do NOT collect any of your practice examination scores on "Crack the PCAT". Furthermore, many students do not report to us their final PCAT Scores. Therefore, we cannot make any direct correlations. What we can say is that over the past decade, the students that have prepared for the Pharmacy College Admission Test after incorporating "Crack the PCAT" into their preparation regimen have achieved stellar scores. They often report back to us with great testimonials praising us for "Crack the PCAT" after they have taken the Pharmacy College Admission Test. Historically, "Crack the PCAT" has been one of the best predictors of your actual Pharmacy College Admission Test.

How are my exam scores tabulated?The PCAT is scored on a scale ranging from 200 to 600, with the mean usually falling between 340 and 460 and the standard deviation approximately 30 points. Your score will be also given in the form of a percentile based on the strength of the applicant pool. For example, if your percentile score is 60, this means that you scored higher than 60 percent of the other test takers. In the program, you can see what your percentile is compared to other pre-pharms around the world.
Your writing papers on the actual PCAT will be scored by trained and calibrated scorers.
How can I get my automatic updates to the newest versions?One of the many perks of being a customer is that you receive free automatic updates streamlined seamlessly to your device so you are never left with an outdated version. For our web-based platforms, these updates are streamlined to you seamlessly. For our software-based platform users, click on the 'Updates' icon inside the program periodically. We encourage you to spread the word about 'Crack the PCAT'. Without your support, we would be unable to provide the free updates and upgrades we routinely design and provide to you to help you gain the leverage you deserve. If you ordered the older software that gets installed on your computer between 2005-2018, the program will no longer work come December 31, 2019. Further, your warranty has expired as you receive 6 months of support/warranty from time of order. In order to continue service and receive assistance from our team, you will have to upgrade to the all-new 2020 Crack the PCAT in order to renew your support and extended warranty plan and onboard to our latest platform to receive the latest features to help you ace your Pharmacy College Admission Test.
The 2005-2018 products and service will be discontinued and NOT supported come December 31, 2019 due to huge changes and shifts in technology, rise in costs, unfeasibility and unviability of sustaining old and outdated infrastructure, and a change in focus to deliver the best PCAT course possible.
Note again that we will not be able to provide support outside of warranty as the product has reached its end of life.
•If you placed an order between 2005-2018, then the software platform you are using is legacy, outdated and not supported as the original framework was built in 2005. It is impossible for us to keep up with older technology as it moves very fast. Ay changes on computer, files, operating system updates or requirements, or something unknown to us either can render the program non-functional. We cannot maintain a viable model by troubleshooting or supporting each individual's systems, configurations and legacy products anymore (especially when your older product is outside its 6 months warranty period from time of order). As such, the legacy software platform was pulled off our product line last year. As always, we are committed to maintaining our products’ legendary reliability, and so we continually develop and improve our product line. As our products and technologies evolve, we find that older software versions and products don't deliver the significant advantages of our current products. Our focus is entirely on the future going 'cloud' and web-based.
•All orders come with 6 months of warranty. We simply don’t provide support outside of this period. If your ordered more than 6 months ago you will need to obtain the latest and newest 2020 Crack the PCAT

•The 2005-2018 software platform is officially being decommissioned on December 31, 2019 as we've provided nearly 15 years of continual updates (at no charge) and unlimited access (for the life of this old outdated platform and service).

What does this mean for me?
•If you ordered Crack the PCAT between 2005-2018, then your membership terminates on December 31, 2019.
•Option #1: You can continue using the software platform you have physically installed on your computer up until December 31, 2019. This legacy platform will be permanently terminated and will neither be accessible nor supported after December 31, 2019. Further, all previous memberships and orders will be 'out of warranty' during this period as there's six months of included warranty/support from the time of your order. As such, if you contact us in 2020, you will not receive a response or assistance on orders on this legacy platform as the product has ran its course, and your warranty/support has expired in addition to receiving this formal notice.
Therefore, should you need access in 2020 and beyond, you should consider upgrading to the latest and greatest 2020 web-based platform that's an entirely new product enables us to keep up with technology in order to help deliver you the best PCAT course prep.
•Option #2: Upgrade and Migrate to the 2020 Cloud/Web/Mobile Platform BEFORE December 31, 2019.
